(L.A.) Julio Palomares, 30, Died in a Backyard

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 30-year-old Latino male that occurred in a backyard in Paramount.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Julio Palomares.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Multiple Gunshot Wounds

RIP JULIO PALOMARES (August 18, 1993 – August 4, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 9:32 p.m.

The decedent was fatally shot by sheriff’s deputies after allegedly advancing on them armed with a pair of scissors.

In February 2025, his parents sued for wrongful death.
