(L.A.) Juan Ruiz Jr., 56, Died in an Embankment

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 56-year-old Latino male that occurred in an embankment.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Juan Ruiz Jr.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Methamphetamine

RIP JUAN RUIZ JR. (February 26, 1969 – May 3, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 4:45 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on July 20, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
