(L.A.) Juan Marquez, 41, Died on a Walkway

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 41-year-old Latino male that occurred on the walkway of his residence.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Juan Marquez.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of Chest

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday.

The decedent and another man were trying to stop several suspects from stealing their parked vehicle.

LASD said the shooting happened at 9:20 p.m. in the 8000 block of South Hooper Avenue.
