(L.A.) Juan Gutierrez, 26, Died at a Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 26-year-old Latino male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Juan Gutierrez.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl Toxicity

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 10:50 a.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on March 24, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.

Note that there are multiple decedents named “Juan Gutierrez” in public records.
