(L.A.) Jovannie Coleman, 29, Died on a Sidewalk

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 29-year-old Black male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Jovannie Coleman.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl, Heroin, Methamphetamine and Phencyclidine

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 6:34 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in late March, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
