(L.A.) Josiah Operin, 25, Died on a Sidewalk

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 25-year-old Black male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office identified the young man as Josiah Operin.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl and Methamphetamine Toxicity

RIP JOSIAH OPERIN (December 3, 1997 – September 29, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 11:12 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on November 22, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
