Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 39-year-old Black male that occurred in a hospital.
The coroner’s office has identified the man as Joseph Neal.
Manner of Death: Homicide
Cause of Death: Hypertensive Cardiovascular Disease
Other Significant Conditions: Gunshot Wound of Leg, Obesity

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 4:16 a.m.
The shooting incident was the night before at Manchester & Cimarron near a South LA car wash. Another man died at the scene.
The attack was believed to be gang-related.
