Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 43-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred in an alley.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Joseph Laughman.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Acute Intoxication by the Combined Effects of Fentanyl and Methamphetamine

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 4:58 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on May 19, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
