(L.A.) Joseph Hinkel, 55, Died From Drug Abuse

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 55-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Joseph Hinkel.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl and Methamphetamine Effects

RIP JOSEPH HINKEL (January 12, 1969 – November 25, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 1:40 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on February 22, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
