Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 59-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Joseph Fierro.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of Neck

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday.

The decedent was shot on the eastbound Pomona (60) Freeway in Pomona.

California Highway Patrol responded at around 8:32 p.m. to the freeway near the Garey Avenue off-ramp.
