(L.A.) Jose Navarro, 25, Died From Substance Abuse

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 25-year-old Latino male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Jose Navarro.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Combined Effects of Cocaine, Fentanyl and Methamphetamine

Other Significant Condition: Medical History of Polysubstance Abuse

RIP JOSE NAVARRO (March 31, 1998 – July 24, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 8:52 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in June the following year, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive from the lab. This is considered an accidental polydrug overdose.

Note that there are multiple decedents named “Jose Navarro” in public records.
