(L.A.) Jose Marina, 43, Died in a Parking Lot

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 43-year-old Latino male that occurred in a parking lot.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Jose Marina.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Acute Intoxication by the Combined Effects of Fentanyl, Methamphetamine, Chlordiazepoxide, and Ethanol

RIP JOSE MARINA (October 26, 1981 – February 20, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 11:29 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in mid-May, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
