(L.A.) Jose Lastra Berelleza, 20, Died in a Parking Lot

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 20-year-old Latino male that occurred in a parking lot.

The coroner’s office identified the young man as Jose Lastra-Berelleza.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Acute Intoxication by the Combined Effects of Methamphetamine, Cocaine, and Fentanyl

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday.

The Department of Medical Examiner was able to make this death record public on April 27, indicating that the next-of-kin had just been informed.

There is a Mexican national named Jose Armando Berrelleza whose mother reported him missing on December 2, 2025. She was still posting about his disappearance as late as April 24.

Note that the government investigator indeed spelled the decedent’s surname as Berelleza, and not the common spelling Berrelleza.
