Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 41-year-old Latino male.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Jose Garcia.

Cause of Death: Effects of Methamphetamine

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 3:32 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on August 29, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.

Note that there are multiple decedents named “Jose Garcia” in public records.
