Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 40-year-old Latino male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Jorge Gomez.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Heart Failure

Cause of Death B: Substance Use Disorder

RIP JORGE GOMEZ (May 20, 1983 – January 14, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 7:26 a.m.

This is considered an accidental drug overdose.
