Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 36-year-old Black male that occurred at a residence.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Jorel Mitchell.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl and Ethanol Toxicity

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 11:49 p.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on May 5, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive.
