(L.A.) Johnny Salazar, 39, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 39-year-old Latino male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Johnny Salazar.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Acute Intoxication by the Combined Effects of Methamphetamine, Fentanyl, and Ethanol

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 10:38 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in early May, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, polysubstance overdose.
