Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 45-year-old Latin American male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Johnny Martinez.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Effects of Dehydration and Other Undetermined Factors

Cause of Death B: Emesis Associated with Probable Withdrawal

Cause of Death C: Cocaine and Opiate Use

RIP JOHNNY MARTINEZ (May 19, 1960 – August 15, 2005)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 3:55 a.m.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
