(L.A.) John McGraham, 55, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 55-year-old Caucasian male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as John McGraham.

Born in L.A. County. Mother’s maiden name is Hale.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Thermal Injuries

RIP JOHN ROBERT MCGRAHAM (August 26, 1953 – October 9, 2008)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 10:18 p.m.

According to Koreatown LA News, the deceased was a homeless man who was doused with gasoline and left to burn to death on 3rd & Berendo. The perpetrator was Ben Matthew Martin, an employee at a nearby barbershop, who would later be sentenced to life in prison.
