(L.A.) Joeline Turton, 30, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 30-year-old Black female that occurred in a hospital.
The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Joeline Turton.
Manner of Death: Homicide
Cause of Death: Multiple Sharp-Force Injuries
RIP JOELINE TURTON (January 31, 1995 – July 17, 2025)
Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday.
The decedent was the owner of the Belizean restaurant Peppers Jamaican Cuisine.
She reportedly went with a group of four or five friends to an apartment complex in order to confront the ex-girlfriend of her partner.
LASD said the incident happened at around 8:53 p.m. in the 1200 block of West 87th Street, one block west of Vermont Avenue, in the unincorporated Westmont area.
Based on evidence gathered, the L.A. District Attorney has decided not to pursue charges in this case.
