(L.A.) Joe Chavez, 40, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 40-year-old Latino male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Joe Chavez.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Liver Cirrhosis, Unknown Etiology

Other Significant Conditions: Obesity, Methamphetamine Use

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
