Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 26-year-old Latino male that occurred in a vehicle in Norwalk.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Jobani Meza of Compton, California.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wounds of the Torso

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 8:55 p.m.

The shooting was reported at 8:39 p.m. in the 12700 block of Pioneer Boulevard, south of Imperial Highway and north of Firestone Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Deputies responding to a report of gunshots found a man inside a vehicle suffering from multiple wounds, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The deputies found another man and a woman in the area who had also been shot, and they were taken for hospital treatment in critical condition. The woman died at a hospital.
