RIP JOANA ZAMORA (October 6, 1982 – April 21, 2025)
Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 12:47 a.m.
The government investigator had initially said the decedent was found dead inside a tent before later changing the place of death to encampment.
Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on June 10, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
