Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 28-year-old Hispanic female that occurred on a street.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Joana Soto Diaz.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Multiple Blunt Trauma

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 8:13 p.m.

The decedent was fatally hit by a vehicle at the intersection of Jefferson and Lincoln boulevards near the Ballona Freshwater Marsh in Playa Vista. The vehicle was traveling westbound on Jefferson Boulevard; its driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
