(L.A.) Jimmy Wiley, 45, Died From Substance Abuse

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 45-year-old Black male that occurred at a motel.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Jimmy Wiley.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Combined Effects of Alcohol and Diphenhydramine

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 7:06 p.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on September 19, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.
