(L.A.) Jimmy Lyons, 69, Died in Interim Housing

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 69-year-old Black male that occurred in interim housing.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Jimmy Lyons.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Arteriosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

Other Significant Condition: Recent Cocaine Use

RIP JIMMY LYONS (July 27, 1954 – October 3, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 6:59 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on November 30, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the coke. This is considered an accidental drug overdose.
