The coroner’s office has identified the man as Jesus Cruz Hernandez of Hawthorne, California..

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl, Methamphetamine, and Ethanol Toxicity

Other Significant Conditions: Obesity, Alcoholic Cirrhosis

The decedent was found dead at the 7th Street / Flower Street station of the Metro Red Line in downtown Los Angeles, 90017. It was determined to have been an accidental drug overdose.
