(L.A.) Jessica Casillas, 42, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 42-year-old Hispanic female that occurred in the intensive care unit of a hospital.
The coroner’s office identified the woman as Jessica Casillas of Whittier.
Height: 5 feet 3 inches / Weight: 140 pounds
Manner of Death: Accident
Cause of Death A: Ruptured Aortic Dissection
Cause of Death B: Hypertensive Cardiovascular Disease
Other Significant Condition: Methamphetamine Abuse
RIP JESSICA MARIE CASILLAS (May 23, 1983 – October 22, 2025)
Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday.
The decedent was arrested on October 14 on a battery charge and was to have her court date on October 28.
She was LASD’s 40th in-custody death for the year.
