(L.A.) Jesse Rivas, 41, Died From Meth

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 41-year-old Latino male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Jesse Rivas.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Methamphetamine

Other Significant Condition: Morbid Obesity

RIP JESSE RIVAS (August 31, 1982 – September 17, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 5:51 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on June 19, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the meth.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
