Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 32-year-old Black male that occurred on a street in Long Beach.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Jeremy Spears.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of the Chest

RIP JEREMY ANDREW SPEARS (August 14, 1993 – October 25, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made early Saturday morning.

Incident location was the 100 block of La Verne Avenue in the Belmont Shore neighborhood of Long Beach.

The decedent had a rap sheet that included arrests for robbery and assault.
