(L.A.) Jeffreye Silva, 40, Died in a Vehicle

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 40-year-old male that occurred in a vehicle.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Jeffreye Silva and listed his race/ethnicity simply as Latino [sic].

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Blunt-Force Head Trauma

Other Significant Conditions: Acute Stimulant Intoxication (Cocaine, Nitrous Oxide), Coronary Artery Atherosclerosis, Morbid Obesity

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday night.

* The government investigator had initially spelled the decedent’s name as Jeffrey.

California Highway Patrol was first apprised at 8:20 p.m. that a vehicle had collided with a center median/dividing line.

Possible DUI Fatal Crash on 5 Freeway in Castaic

A fatal incident occurred on the northbound lanes of Interstate 5 near the Lower Crossover on Sunday evening. CHP received reports of a vehicle collision at around 8:20 p.m.

Tow services transported a Kia sedan from the scene. The car’s license plate had a disability sticker and the alphanumerals 013YD.
