(L.A.) James McClure, 47, Died From a Meth OD

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 47-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at a bus stop.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as James McClure.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Methamphetamine Toxicity

Other Significant Condition: History of Hypertension

RIP JAMES MCCLURE (September 30, 1977 – December 3, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 10:30 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in mid-March, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
