(L.A.) James Hampton, 18, Died at St. Francis Medical Center

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of an 18-year-old Black male who passed away in the intensive care unit of St. Francis Medial Center in Lynwood.

The coroner’s office identified the young man as James Hampton.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Penetrating Gunshot Wound of Head

The decedent was shot in Compton 90220 on April 10. The investigation is under the jurisdiction of LASD’s Compton Sheriff Station.
