(L.A.) James Ellis, 38, Died in a Vehicle

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 38-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred in a vehicle.

The coroner’s office identified the man as James Ellis.

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl

RIP JAMES ELLIS (October 31, 1986 – May 15, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 9:32 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on June 24, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
