(L.A.) James Broome, 55, Died From Drug Use

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 55-year-old Black male that occurred at his residence.
The coroner’s office has identified the man as James Broome.
Manner of Death: Accident
Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl and Methamphetamine
Other Significant Condition: Diabetes Mellitus

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 9:41 a.m.
Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in mid-November, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drugs.
This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
