(L.A.) James Brandt, 53, Died From Meth Abuse

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 53-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at a private residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as James Brandt.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Arteriosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

Other Significant Condition: Methamphetamine Effects

RIP JAMES BRANDT (December 3, 1970 – September 6, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 3:47 a.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling in early January, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
