(L.A.) Jaime Beltran, 36, Died From Substance Abuse

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 36-year-old Latino male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Jaime Beltran.

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 9:22 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on February 10, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, overdose.

Combining diphenhydramine (commonly known as Benadryl) and ethanol (alcohol) can lead to severe and fatal outcomes.
