(L.A.) Jahiro Mendoza Romero, 38, Died at a Restaurant

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 38-year-old Latino male that occurred at a restaurant.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Jahiro Mendoza Romero.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl and Methamphetamine Toxicity

RIP JAHIRO MENDOZA ROMERO (June 20, 1985 – September 14, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 9:20 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on December 23, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
