The coroner’s office has identified the man as Jaevion Tasby, a resident of Long Beach. Born in L.A. County. Mother’s maiden name is Snead.

Incident location: 927 Daisy Avenue

The decedent was standing in front of an apartment building in the Willmore neighborhood at 9:54 a.m. when another man approached him, pulled out a gun and shot him multiple times. The shooter fled.
