(L.A.) J. Brandon Richards, 36, Died in a Parking Lot

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 36-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred in a Lowe’s parking lot.

The coroner’s office identified the man as J. Brandon Richards.

Born in L.A. County. Mother’s maiden name is Westphal.

Cause of Death: Combined Effects of Methamphetamine and Fentanyl

RIP J. BRANDON RICHARDS (January 5, 1988 – November 5, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 7:25 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on February 13, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.

The county had the decedent’s body cremated on December 27, 2024.
