Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 24-year-old Black male that occurred at his residence.
The coroner’s office has identified the young man as Isiah Smith.
Manner of Death: Accident
Cause of Death: Fentanyl Intoxication

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 12:05 a.m.
The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the COD ruling on January 31, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drug.
I am profoundly shaken to learn of Coach Isiah’s untimely passing. His sudden departure from this world is not only a personal loss to all who knew him but a piercing heartbreak for the entire Lanai Elementary School community.
