(L.A.) Hurthel Washington, 65, Died From a Coke OD

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 65-year-old Black male that occurred at a private residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Hurthel Washington.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Acute Cocaine Intoxication

RIP HURTHEL WASHINGTON (September 1, 1959 – December 15, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 10:56 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on February 17, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
