(L.A.) Hsiu Teng, 62, Died From Fentanyl

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 62-year-old Asian male that occurred at a residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Hsiu Teng.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl

Other Significant Conditions: Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease and Medical History of Diabetes Mellitus, Tobacco Smoking, and High Blood Pressure

RIP HSIU TENG (December 5, 1960 – October 31, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 11:01 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on June 19, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive from the lab.

This is considered an accidental overdose.

Drug paraphernalia were found at scene — straw, burnt foil and white lighter in right hand.
