Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 68-year-old Black male that occurred at an apartment building.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Howard Rice.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Methamphetamine Intoxication

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 7:38 a.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on August 1, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drug.
