(L.A.) Hector Cano Jr., 32, Died at TTCF

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 32-year-old Latino male that occurred at a correctional facility.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Hector Cano Jr.

Height: 5 feet 6 inches / Weight: 143 pounds

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Methamphetamine

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday.

The decedent was declared deceased inside his cell at Twin Towers Correctional Facility in downtown L.A.

This is LASD’s 31st in-custody death for the year.

Hector Raul Cano was arrested by Santa Monica PD on August 13, 2025, for a felony parole violation. He had several arrests on his record, mostly for possession of controlled substances.
