RIP GLENN ALLEN (October 28, 1949 – February 18, 2011)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 12:12 p.m.

The decedent was a firefighter who for some odd reason was still on active duty even at his markedly old age.

On February 16, he was part of a crew sent to deal with a fire at a house designed by the owner Gerhard Albert Becker, a German national.

To preemptively deflect criticism for various faults, LAFD and the Building Department pushed for the prosecution of Becker.

Becker was ordered to stand trial on involuntary manslaughter charges. He initially rejected a plea deal offering two years in prison. Eventually, he pleaded no contest to involuntary manslaughter. The case concluded with Becker being sentenced to one year in county jail and three years of probation.

This case is just another example of how far corrupt government employees are willing to go in railroading innocent people in order to protect their own hide.

The building inspector who signed off on the house three months before the fire was Bradley Scott Bescos. In one year, taxpayers paid for his $106,947.36-$119,203.92 salary.

The judge in the case was Michael A. Tynan who received his bachelor’s degree from Stanford University in 1958. After graduating from university, he served in the United States Army. He went on to complete a J.D. from USC’s Gould School of Law. He would retire from the bench in 2021. He was approximately 75 years old in 2011.
