(L.A.) Glendon Robateau, 15, Died in a Vehicle

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 15-year-old Black male that occurred in a vehicle.

The coroner’s office identified the teenage boy as Glendon Robateau.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Traumatic Asphyxia

RIP GLENDON ROBATEAU (March 12, 2010 – March 28, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 2:05 a.m.

The decedent was fatally injured in a traffic collision following a police pursuit of a DUI suspect in Westchester. He was a passenger in an SUV.

LAPD’s Southwest Division began pursuing an allegedly intoxicated suspect in the SUV at around 1:30 a.m. The chase ended in the 10000 block South Sepulveda Boulevard when the suspect crashed into a blue Honda sedan.

Television footage showed the SUV nearly split in half after the collision.

The driver of the SUV tried to leave the scene but was captured and arrested.
