(L.A.) Gilbert Perez, 60, Died From Substance Abuse

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 60-year-old Latino male that occurred in a vehicle.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Gilbert Perez.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Cocaine and Ethanol

RIP GILBERT PEREZ (February 14, 1964 – September 30, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 1:39 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on January 21, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, overdose.
