Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 28-year-old Latino male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Gilbert Balcazar Jr.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Gastrointestinal Hemorrhage

Cause of Death B: Chronic Alcoholism

Other Significant Conditions: Acute Alcohol Effects; Chronic Tobacco Use

RIP GILBERT BALCAZAR JR. (April 26, 1996 – September 27, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 1:40 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on October 23.

Alcohol deaths can be classified as accidents under the assumption that the sots didn’t intend to kill themselves.
