Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 50-year-old Hispanic female that occurred at her residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Giana Polendo.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Methadone Toxicity

Other Significant Conditions: Dilated Cardiomyopathy, Morbid Obesity

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 12:30 a.m.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
